There are many food festivals held all over Italy, some are dedicated to just one product such as asparagus, cheese or artichokes whilst other festivals are more generic and celebrate all foods specific to the local area.</p>
<p>In September 2008, a group of us went to the food festival known as <a href="http://www.confidencewithcooking.com/festival-delle-sagre-d%e2%80%99asti">Festival Delle Sagre D&#8217;Asti</a>, held in the Piedmontese region of Asti, which takes place during the month of September.</p>
<p>We stayed in an <a href="http://www.confidencewithcooking.com/an-agriturismo-in-costigliole-d’asti-agriturismo-orlandi">agriturismo</a> in <a href="http://www.costigliole.it">Costigliole d’Asti</a>, visited <a href="http://www.confidencewithcooking.com/vineyards-our-visit-to-vini-baldi"> local vineyards</a>, spent a <a href="http://www.confidencewithcooking.com/our-visit-to-turin"> day in the Piedmontese Capital, Turin</a>, and of course had a wonderful day at the food festival.</div>
